When the Sahara Desert of Morocco, particularly the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, began attracting travelers from around the world, a local farmer and father of two decided to buy a 4WD vehicle with two friends to show visitors the most beautiful places in the desert.

From humble beginnings came great things. As his children grew up, they worked in various desert camps and hotels, where they learned their first words of English, Spanish, and French. At that time, most travel companies were foreign-owned, and the two brothers dreamed of creating a local tour operator to share the true culture of Morocco.

However, their English skills were limited, so they decided to study the language seriously. After years of dedication, they became fluent in English—able to speak and write it confidently. From that vision and determination, compass morocco tours  was born.
