Day 1: Marrakech ⇢ High Atlas Mountains ⇢ Ait Benhaddou Kasbah ⇢ Ouarzazate ⇢ Zagora Desert

After meeting at the agreed location, we depart from Marrakech heading southeast toward the Zagora Desert via the High Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and iconic fortified ksar with beautiful Kasbahs, which has served as a backdrop for many films since the 1960s.

Next, we visit Ouarzazate, also known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” and enjoy lunch in the city. Afterward, we continue south, crossing the Tizi N’Tnifift Pass (1710 m) and passing Ait Saoun Village, once part of the caravan route for traders traveling from Timbuktu.

We then drive along the scenic Draa Valley, arriving in Zagora and its surrounding dunes. Here, you’ll embark on a camel trek across the desert to watch a magical sunset. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and overnight in a nomad desert camp under the stars.

Day 2: Zagora Desert ⇢ Draa Valley ⇢ High Atlas Mountains ⇢ Marrakech

Wake up early to experience the breathtaking sunrise over the Zagora dunes, followed by a traditional breakfast at the camp. After breakfast, ride your camel back to meet your driver and begin the return journey to Marrakech.

Along the way, we make stops to explore oases and enjoy free time for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we continue our scenic drive back via the High Atlas Mountains, taking in the panoramic landscapes and Berber villages before arriving in Marrakech.
