Day 1: Marrakech ⇢ Ait Benhaddou ⇢ Ouarzazate ⇢ Dades Valley

After meeting at the agreed location, we will begin your 3-day desert tour from Fes heading southeast through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, offering panoramic mountain views and stops at ancient Berber villages. We will visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, around lunchtime, and explore its historic fortified streets and kasbahs. In the afternoon, we continue through Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa, including a stop at the Atlas Film Studios, then drive through the Roses Valley before reaching Dades Valley, famous for its dramatic cliffs and rock formations. Overnight stay at a hotel or riad.

Day 2: Dades Valley ⇢ Todra Gorge ⇢ Erfoud ⇢ Merzouga Desert (Erg Chebbi)

After breakfast, we depart from Dades Valley and drive toward the Erg Chebbi dunes, passing through Berber villages and the spectacular Todra Gorges near Tinghir. Along the way, we will pass Tinjdad and Erfoud, entering the Tafilalet Oasis, one of the most iconic desert regions in Morocco. Upon arrival in Merzouga, you will have time to relax before embarking on a camel trek across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes, capturing the sunset over the Sahara. Day 3: Merzouga Desert ⇢ Ziz Valley ⇢ Midelt ⇢ Ifrane ⇢ Fes

Wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes, followed by a camel ride back to meet your driver. We depart Merzouga and drive through the Ziz Valley, known for its extensive palm groves, stopping for scenic viewpoints. Continue to Midelt, the Apple Capital of Morocco, for a lunch break amidst the Middle Atlas Mountains. Afterward, drive through the Cedar Forest near Azrou, where you may spot Barbary macaques, and pass through Ifrane, also called the “Switzerland of Morocco”, before arriving in Fes, marking the end of your 3-day desert tour from Fes.
